Our Charity Partner — DeSanto Centre for the Deaf

The Seed Connect proudly supports the DeSanto Centre for the Deaf in Livingstone, Zambia. The Centre is a school and community dedicated to giving deaf children access to language, education and belonging.

Mission and impact

As the only school for the Deaf within eight hours of Livingstone, the Centre serves children who might otherwise never enter a classroom. Instruction begins with Zambian and American Sign Language and expands into a full academic curriculum aligned with Zambia national standards, offered at no cost to families.

Over more than ten years of partnership, the program has supported hundreds of students, built a full-time volunteer staff and created a place where families can finally connect with their children through language.
